Flickr flappery!

I've noticed I seem to be using lots of exclamation marks in the titles in my posts. . . hmm, oh well, at least I don't ABUSE CAPSLOCK like some.

I've kinda avoided Flickr in the past, mostly because a lot of the contributing members lack structure or organization with their images (although I'm as guilty of that as they are) occasionally people or groups will have decent groupings and tags, but some are just random as random can be. The concept behind Flickr kinda weirds me out a bit too. Unless you choose otherwise, all your images are up for grabs. Anyone can look at your stuff and think "oh, neat photo, it would look great in my collage/painting/art/etc.) Most people do ask permission when using other people's work but I've seen enough posts about plagiarism to know its more common than not.

Uneasiness aside, now that I've set up an account I think it'll actually help me organize a bunch on my images. I went to Italy for a semester of art school back in 2006 and ALL my pics are still on cds, so this will be a good way to get them up so my friends and family can see them without submitting them to the torture of a digital slide show (although if they do look at all of my pics, its a self-inflicted slide show and thus not my fault)
